Financing a Bed & Breakfast does not conform to traditional commercial lending standards. Therefore, many traditional lenders will not provide financing for Bed & Breakfast Inns. To the independent Innkeeper this means many business opportunities are lost for lack of available credit.
That’s why financing the inn of your dreams is often the difficult part. Unless the property is properly priced and the sellers have adequate financial documents, financing can be almost impossible to obtain. Financing options are varied and include seller financing, bank financing, Small Business Administration financing, lease purchase, lease option, and other creative approaches.
